300
Spartans, tonight, we dine in hell!
There is no doubt that when watching this flick, you are watching a Frank Miller Graphic novel, it looks they same sort of style as SIn City (apparently some of the shots were a direct lift from the Graphic). I will give this film a one word review “Awesome”
There is no doubt in my mind that if 300 had come out before Braveheart, Gerald Butler would have been William Wallace instead of Mel. He is really a powerful presence in this move (made even harder by the fact that he keeps his Scottish accent!!).
The battles scenes, although involving plenty of severed limbs and blood, are almost beautiful as they portray the underdog fighting for what the believe in, hell of a noble effort if you ask me, in varying speeds and incredible stunts.
Afters the 10 or so minutes of an introduction to the characters, it is pretty much a non-stop action thrill fest until the end.
Forget the supposed bad reviews that Ben talked about (I am sure you will enjoy it mate!), go make your mind up for yourself, this is definately one I would see again and one for the DVD collection.

Hmmmm, I’ve also heard mixed reviews, and the fact that Sin City was a serious disappointment for me, I have my reservations. However, on that review, I may make a stop off to see it! Ah thanku!
