Hot Fuzz
Big Cops. Small Town. Moderate Violence
Wright and Pegg have done it again!!! Just when you thought they could never better Spaced, they gave us Shaun of the Dead, and just when you though they could’t top that, they give us Hot Fuzz.
Myself, Enzo, Big Al and Ruthy all took a trip to the movies tonight to see it. We ended up having a good laugh at this very clever movie. It’s got it all, laughs, tears, guns, violence, explosions, car chases and of course….. Church Fetes.
I first learned about Hot Fuzz about a year ago when I used to check the Working Titles website and have been looking forward to it ever since. I am a big Pegg and Nick Frost fan ever since I first saw spaced where the played the Tim and Mike duo. It obvious through out all of there collaberations that they are good friends, this one is no exception as the play Supercop Nicholas Angel (Pegg) and his movie obsessed partner Danny Butterman (Frost).
Once more, the no spoilers rule kicks in, but expect your fair share of action movie “Homages” from start to finish. As Ruthy pointed out when Americians do “Homage” they tend to rip the piss out of the movie, Wright and Pegg seem to show their respect for the movie more than anything.
Anyways, can’t wait for this to come out on DVD coz it will be packed with extras (hopefully)
Go see it, or they will Burst Your Arse!!
