The Big Three Oh

Its Sunday morning and I have a hangover!!!!

Still this one was worth is as it was my Birthday cellebration. Normally I am content to just go for a meal with my friends and maybe catch a movie afterwards, but I decided i wanted a fuss for this one.

The cellabration started on Wednesday when my friends at work too me out a lunch (one of them doesn’t work a Friday), which was relly cool of them and on Friday i walked into see that my desk looked like this……

Yes, my colleagues felt that I had to be reminded that I was now on the “Downward Slope” abd by filling my desks with balloons, banners and streamers, there was no chance of me forgetting (actually, i think thats the cleanest my desk has ever looked :) ). But it was a really nice gesture and brightened my day up no end!!! In fact the girl that doesn’t work Thursdays and Fridays is the person that decorated the desk and came in especially on Thursday night after I had left to do it. How cool is that!!! I was also gifted some beer and cash, MY TWO FAVORITE THINGS!!! So after plenty of “Old Fart” jokes, people having to shout at me cause they think my hearing is going, I finished my last working day as a 29 year old.

So I had to go to my TA class on Saturday during the day, but I got to end my twenties in style in the evening. Went for a chinese meal with my sisters, there better halfs, Ajay and Marc. Meal was excellent, and then I was off to Glasgow to do some drinking. Started off in Firewater where I met everyone, including an old compadre of mine from back in the day named Colin “Tattooed and can kickbox” Morton which was cool. After a couple there, we headed for Beir Halle where I had a traditional Jedimoose beer (Moosehead, MrBen finally got to try it and approved!). Enzo then announced that regular measures of beer just weren’t cutting it, so instead we should be drinking Viking measures, and at that point the Steins were ordered.

We stayed in the bar till closing before all going out seperate ways (my knee is still not 100% so I figured if I went clubbing there was a good chance that I would end up in A&E!!!)

Was a great night, I am glad I went out and glad that everyone that could, joined my in drowning my sorrows at the end of being a 20 something.

Oh and as a special treat Bob’s flat mates sung happy birthday to me in French!!!

Here are some pics…
