Movies, Movies, Movies

It has been a while since i posted a movie review, but trust me i have been going quite a lot since I have been off. Here is what I have seen. (brief reviews)

Snakes On A Plane

Sit back. Relax. Enjoy the fright

I don’t think there is anybody left that has not heard about this movie. I don’t really need to explain what it is about cause the makers have taken the Ronseal approach, “Does exactly what it says on the tin”

Ok, ok so maybe not the greatest film ever made, maybe not up there with Citizen Kane, but hey, what a great way to spend 105 minutes!!!!!!! Brains on Neutral, pop corn in hand sit back relax and watch the Bizarre storyline of the year with Samuel “Muva F*ckin’” Jackson takes on his deadliest enemy EVER!!!!

Worth seeing!!! :)
Harsh Times

Get ready for a ride to the edge

WOW, in my opinion, no-one does crazy ex solider having trouble dealing with civy life guy better than Christian Bale. He is this movie. Anyone who has seen Training Day and Dark Blue will have some indication of what to expect, a harsh gritty movie that ain’t always easy to watch.

Freddy Rodríguez, the guy from Six Feet Under and the occasional appearnce in Scrubs gives an excellent performance as well and will hopefully be used for more movies.

Definatley not everyones’s cup of tea, but the acting in it is superb and the film looks like it is supposed to. :)
You, Me and Dupree

Two’s company. Dupree’s a crowd.

Ahh the Wilson. I am conviced that Owen Wilson does not act, but in fact plays himself in every movie! But thats not a bad thing, I mean who wouldn’t want to hang about with someone as relaxed, chilled out and down right funny as Owen.

Movie is full of crude jokes, uncomfortable situations, slap stick humour and is good for a giggle. Matt Dillon is good in it as well. My mate Bob had said that after his performance in Something About Mary, he could have probably played Owen Wilsons role, I thought so at first, but as the movie progressed I became convinced that he was the right guy for the part of Carl Peterson.

I didn’t have high expectations for this movie but ended up enjoying it and would recommend it to others. :)
and finally

A Scanner Darkly

What Does A Scanner See?

Definatley my favorite of all the films I have seen recently. I have been looking forward to it since I first saw the trailer about a year ago and thought that “Shit man, the movie may be crap, but it will still look amazing”. Not only did it look good, but it was also excellent. It was a good way to present a movie that is mostly about drug abuse.

As Guy is a lazy, lazy man and the fact that Kung-Fu Kitten has already reviewed this flick and Guy agrees with her comments, he would suggest you read hers

Well worth seeing, and look out for Alex Jones in this film. He is the man behind the Prison Planet website. He is very Anti New World Order, the Builderberg Group and just the government in general, ok he is also a tad crazy but worth having a look at his site.

Told you I’d be quick ;)
