Been a while, so…..

Well, I thought I better post something that wasn’t a movie review ;)
“What you been up to Guy?”, I hear you cry. Well I have been quite busy. I have now finished my COSCA course and will get presented with certificate that states that I have an introduction to Counselling skills, “whats that worth I hear you cry?”. Well if I want to go on to do a Diploma in Counselling, then I need this. It also looks good on the ol’ CV as it shows that you have learned Active Listening skills, which would be of benefit to anyone that has a job where they need to commuincate with others. The course is well worth doing, if thats you sort of thing, cause when you do it, a lot of it is about self awareness, and you may not be prepared to deal with what you find out about yourself, but if that cool with you, honestly, I cannot recommend this course highly enough. Find out more info here .

Was sad that the 10 months has now finished and I will not see my class again (they really were a good bunch) and I will have to find something new to do on a Thursday night, but I think I will take my skills to the next level and am looking at doing a Diploma in Transactional Analysis. Still we all went for a nice farewell meal and we will all meet again in Septemeber when we get presented with our certificates.

Had a quality weekend as well, Skiv had managed to get 2 tickets to go see Bob Mould in Edinburgh on Saturday night, so despite some technical difficulties, we found ourselves in Sunny Edinburgh on Saturday afternoon, and it felt like being on holiday, it was very cool. Gig was excellent too, check out my review.

Anyway, work sucks and I am just living for the weekend, hope y’all are good too ;)

I started the COSCA Counselling Skills course, got modules 1 & 2 but dropped out after that due to my trainer sucking! sucked sucked sucked! So I’m hoping now to finish 3 & 4 at some point next year so I’ll get the whole certificate.

So Diploma in Transitional Analysis? Dude, where does that in Glasgow? Garnethill does psychodynamic, the place I went does CBT, and Strathy does Person Centred, (which I eventually want to do) but haven’t yet heard of anywhere that does TA….please inform…..:)
