Drinking beers, eating out, catching up and watching movies

Just back from a weekend that was buzzing with activity, which has been unusual for me lately.

Started off by going out for a bite to eat with good ol’ Marc at “The Wallace” bar. My advice friends is don’t eat there. My food was average, but Marky boy got Warm Waffles and Ice-cream for desert with one small problem, the feckin’ waffles were frozen in the middle!! So exercising his consumer right, Marc return the desert to the bar and asked that they were replaced. 10 mminutes went by when one of the waiters came up to inform mark that the reason for the delay was that they had “Burnt” the second batch. Ok, you would think 3rd time lucky, but alas no, once more the waffles were frozen in the middle. So after an arguement with the “Bitch queen from hell” manager, marc got a refund. The manageress was just lucky that i was not out in the company of Iain and Skiv as they are experts at getting refunds when food does not meet the standard! AVOID THE WALLACE BAR IN PAISLEY

Then off to Borgia, a favourite haunt of GI’s since the days of old. Was good, i saw lots of familuar faces, only one problem, Marc got charged £7.50 for a bottle of beer and a vodka and coke, a tad more expensive than we thought, so after discussion with the bar staff, he got refund again. But the damage was done, Marc was sure that he had the word “Mug” printed in his forehead and decided to call it a night (only joking, he had work in the morning) but i realised that there were plenty more beers out there with my name on them, so it was off to Gourock to meet skiv.

Always good to see skiv, he is like my own personal yoda, only a lot taller and a lot less green, giving me his views, opinion and a place to crash so that i did not have to travel home, what a guy!!! So drank with him until there was no more room for beer with me, so it was time to call it a night.

Woke up today without hangover (hooray), Skiv was less fortunate so spend the morning just chilling and watched “Unleashed” on DVD. I liked it so thats its in with my “Good Movies” category. My only prob was that although filmed in Glasgow and it was mentioned that the film was set in Glasgow, everybody was English or American, so most americans now believe that “Glasga” is in England!!!!

Later on Chris came round, Chris is a funny guy and has me in stiches most of the time, so we all went for a chinese buffet, ate far to much, then went to see “Aeon Flux” at the cinema. It was ok no-brainer women in scantley clad costumes veiwing, but not one I would recommend, Skiv and Chris may have thought differently.

Anyways the weekend is over and its back to work tomorrow, DAMN IT!!!!!!

GI ;)
