Myself and Marc went to watch this flick last night.

There is very few times that a sequel out-does the original. I am glad to say that this is one of those films.

When I saw the original in the Cinema, I thought, yeah it was ok but could have been better. But the first one was a grower, I bought it cheap on DVD, and enjoyed it more in the second veiwing.

In Evolution, there is a lot more in terms of story, character development and of course, fighting. the only thing that confused me is where it was set. The story directly follows on from the first one which i was sure was set in the Good ol’ US of A, but this one appears to be set in Russia or somewhere!!!!

One of the problems I had in the first on was with Kate Beckinsale, I was not conviced on how good an action star she would be. I have no doubts after watching the sequel. She kicked ass plus looked well hot in (and out ) of her PVC costume. (I hate to say it Skiv, but much, much better than Trinity in The Matrix Trilogy)

Ok, again this film will not be for everyone, but given how crap the cinema releases are at the moment, it is one that is worth checking out.

Bring on a 3rd one!!!!!
