They aim to misbehave.

Despite being a fan of both Buffy and Angel, I never really paid attention to Joss Whedon’s Sci-Fi series Firefly, not that I was intentionally avoiding it or anything, just never saw it. So when I first heard about Serenity, I was not to fussed about going to see it.

Last night myself, Mark and Bigal decided to go for something to eat at Dimagios, go to the cinema and grab a few beers. It was a toss up between going to see Nightwatch or Serinity and we decided to go for the “Space Western” option that was Serinity.

What a good choice!!!!! I was worried that you would have had to seen Firefly to follow the story, but whahey, you didn’t!!!

Now for those of you that don’t know Joss wrote Alien Resurrection, this may not sound like a selling point for Serenity, but Guy Incognito would like to point out that although he is a huge Alien’s movie fan, he did not hate Resurrection so does not see that as a bad thing!!!!

You can see some of his ideas from Resurrection carried through to Serenity with the crew etc, but it still stand out on it’s own. There is a good mixture of humour (not overley cheesy) lots of action, some very deep moments and generally a good story that keeps you entertained from start to finish. Definatley a must for Sci-fi fans.

I liked it so much that i have now oreded the Firefly DVD box set, as i am sure many people in the same situation as me will do after seeing Serenity.

Good movie, well worth the money!!!
