The Devil’s Rejects

My mate Gary managed to blag a couple of free tickets to go see this film tonight so cheers MacIndoe if you are reading
Now I have to admit, I was not a fan of Rob Zombie’s first movie House of 1000 Corpses as I found it confusing plotless and with the exception of the Captain Spalding Character, not very entertaining.
The Rejects is different, basically it’s a slasher movie, but is very well filmed, it looks like a 70’s horror flick, and you see Rob’s influences as both a Musican (White Zombie for those of you that don’t know) and as a Music Video director. A lot of the action is done in time with the music, which is something I quite like. This movie looks like its supposed to, not one of these “polished up” slasher movies that are a dime a dozen these days, no this is very grimey and dirty looking.
Acting performances are good with Sid Haig returning as Spalding with his sicko family consisting of Otis (Bill Moseley) and Baby (Sheri Moon) and being pursued by the slightly crazy Sheriff Wydell (William Forsythe).
Make no mistake, this is quite a sick movie thats not for the squeemish, but worth checking out, providing you like that sort of thing and are over the age of 18!!!!
