Sin City

What an awesome movie!!! In terms of look, style, storylines and acting this film is definitely in a league of its own. The violence is quite graphic with each kill being gruesome than the last, but it is done in a true comic book fashion so as not to be realistic. Rourke, Del Toro, Willis all put in a sterling performance that make you wish 2 hours was longer as you don’t want this movie to end.
Normal GI rules apply, I will not ruin any of the story line or plot for you, or those of you that haven’t read the graphic novels. But i will say this, would film makers please note the films like Sin City and Hellboy are good because they have had the creator of the comic on-board through-out the whole process, this means that the film will stay true to the original format and not turn into disasters like Daredevil or Electra!!!!!
I will be well up for seeing this film again and will definately be adding it to my DVD collection.

What? Daredevil’s great! It’s got… um… well… I liked it better than any of the recent Star Wars films.
I’d never read Sin City, but it was certainly compelling viewing. It didn’t matter what was going on, I was happy to watch. I particularly liked Elijah Wood (small as his role is) and Mickey Rourke.
How come in all these comics to film adaption, nobody mentions Garfield? Faithful to the source, the movie was crud*.
Maybe we’ll see Slainé one day? And Judge Dredd should be done properly. I want to see perps shout “Drokk!” before being mashed.
