X-Box Fire sale
I would like to congradulate Microsoft on the most unique games console around. The X-Burn, the first ever games console that you can use as a barbaque as well as a games console. As an added bonus you get a free fire extingusher, smoke detector and asbestos control pad with it and the X-Burn also has its very own personal customer support number which is very easy to remember its ‘999′.
Long live the Playstation

This games console sounds as good as the Mega CD! The Mega CD, launched as the new era in games playing…. Hey! wait a sec these games are all the fucking same as the Mega drives only you get really annoying and utterly pointless 25 minute long video sequences. But you can play say CD’s on it, said Sega, I have a fucking CD player and so does every house in the UK. What’s more my CD player doesn’t make all my CD’s sound look tinny shite that my 1 year old Godson played on his glochenspeel.
The ad slogan for Mega CD should simply of read…. ‘It’s like the MegaDrive only shite.’

Anyone who plays games and doesnt own an X-Box clearly has some kind of mental impairment.
Keep in mind the X-Box was Microsoft’s first attempt at a console, so its unlikely to be problem free. I remind G@ystation owners that Sony is now approaching its 3rd incarnation of games machine. As a previous PS1 owner I can confirm that their first attempt at a console was utter crap and not even as good as previous generation machines (SNES, Mega Drive etc).
This X-Box cable issue is a risk rather than a problem and as an X-Box owner I myself have had no problems. However anyone who is concerned can receive a free new cable from the good folks at Microsoft, so alls well that ends well.
It is amusing to see the way some small minded fanboys can go OTT when discussing other machines without ever having owned or played them. As a previous owner of SNES, Mega Drive, Dreamcast, PS, Gameboy and a current owner of X-Box, Gamecube and Gameboy Advance I feel qualified enough to talk about machines in an impartial and fair way.
So cable problems aside, keep in mind that the X-Box is currently the most powerful and exciting games console in the World. Its an on the ground fact that must be accepted by the smart and ignored by the stupid.
How amazing the second X-Box will be, we can only imagine at this stage.
Over to you Bill…

It’s not a question of Sony’s third attempt at a console v.s. Micro$oft’s first attempt. Try and remember that when the PS1 came out technology then was not as advanced as tech now.
I’m not a console fan by any stretch of the imagination and although the lowly pc is my weapon of choice (purely for the sake of versitility) I can appreciate the technical prowess of both the PS2 and the X-Box even though both are made by evil empires.
The true test will be the PS3 and the X-Box 2. As the PS3 will be using the cell chips and (presumably) the X-Box will be using conventional processors, time is not on the side of the X-Box. With future technology being utilised by Sony, Microsoft are going to have to kiss some seroius tush to get any kind of advantage.
And seeing as this is Microsoft we’re talking about, their days might soon be numbered and in more ways than one…

All games consoles are a rip-off. They consist of cheap components which are sold for extended periods of time as ’state of the art’ graphics consoles. A simple analysis of the development of PC’s shows that processors, motherboards, hard-drives, and graphics cards are all components which are constantly being improved. Games consoles such as the X-Box and PS2 keep the same overpriced components and sell them on for 3-4 year periods, rarely improving any of the core components. My advice is to buy a PC and play your games on that.
